Family Services Names
Interim CEO
The Family Services Inc. board has appointed Sarah R. “Sally” Byrn as its interim CEO.
Byrn, who has been serving on the organization’s Board of Directors, will start full-time in August.
Byrn co-founded SSCI, a company dedicated to providing high quality solid state chemical information, with her husband Steve in 1991. SSCI was recognized by Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business as one of the Top 100 fast growing companies in the state each year from 1999, to 2003. The company received the Inc 500 Awards in 2001 and 2002. After SSCI’s sale to Aptuit, Inc in 2006 and until 2009, Byrn served as a vice president.
Previous to 1991, Byrn co-founded the Health Referral Center in Lafayette and was a family life instructor at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Byrn is a board member of the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Greater Lafayette Commerce, and Wabash Center. She is chair of the Lafayette Urban Ministry’s Campaign for the Future.
Byrn holds a degree in nursing from DePauw University and has done graduate studies in child development at Purdue University.

This is an incentive program that benefits both Family Services' Homecare clients,and you, the Indiana tax payer! Qualifying individual or business contributions of $100 or more benefit our Homecare program, making it possible for older and disabled clients to remain as independent as possible and in their own homes.
